Slow ADSL2+ Speed. Answered. Why is it that I can bearly achieve download speeds of up to 2.5Mbps (today max. 1.04Mbps) when ADSL2+ is advertised as having speeds of up to 20Mbps? Last night I contacted Telstra technical support and the very sympathetic support person agreed that the speed was extremely low and, after testing to confirm the appalling speeds, escalated the problem to a higher level.
